Month of Giving 2023
I’m so excited because November officially starts off our annual Month of Giving! Every November I try to give back not only to my clients but also to our San Antonio community, and I’m inviting you to do the same. But what does this look like?
Pregnancy After Loss Affirmations.

One thing that carried me through the first trimester was utilizing affirmations to help set my mind at ease.

Induction points for labor
One of the most common questions I am asked before I work on someone is whether or not pushing or pressing in a certain spot is safe and/or will it send them into labor, and let me tell you I only wish it were that easy!
Acupressure points have long been recognized for their potential to encourage labor in pregnancy and help ease pain during childbirth. In an effort to help you and your partners, mama, here are a few points that you can do on your own to help stimulate labor and alleviate pain.
Part 4: The world doesn’t stop.
The world didn’t stop. This terrible thing happened and I had to keep on doing life. I still have to. But this is why I’m sharing my story, because I want you to know that you are not alone in this. I want you to know that no matter when you experience this loss it fucking hurts, and it will continue to hurt, and from what other women have told me it always will, but it does ease.
Part 3: It came in waves.
It came in waves. The logical side of my brain would take over and then the emotional side would just spill out. It was like my mind was trying to make sense and rationalize what was happening, but at the same time it was also trying to deal with the realization of what would never be.
Part 2: What do we do? I don’t know what to do
My heart sank. I rushed to go tell Alex and my mind went blank.
What do we do? I don’t know what to do.
He asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital and I wasn’t sure, I mean what are you supposed to do in this situation? How exactly can they help me? They can’t stop it. I don’t exactly have a prenatal care provider yet and if we go, do we go to an emergency room or an urgent care? So many questions ran through my mind and I had no answers. No one had ever really talked about this with me, but also who is supposed to be having this conversation with me? Why would I have this conversation at all?
Part 1: Cautiously Excited
Before you read on I want to let you know that my story is about early pregnancy loss. I will go into detail with things that I experienced, felt and saw. This may not be may not be comfortable for you. I don’t do this to be shocking, I am doing this because I don’t want to forget. Even though it was early, this pregnancy was real and this baby was wanted. I want all the other mothers who have experienced loss to know that no matter when you see that positive test, any and all of your feelings surrounding your pregnancy is valid. I want others to know what might happen and what your loved one might be going through. Of course every person’s experience is different, but because I serve the community that I do, I find that it is important to offer some perspective and by doing this support.
